In the previous post I shared my view on biological and spiritual theories of the law of attraction. Lets look at practical implementation of the law.You begin with a list. In my friends case I would start with a list of desired traits that you look for in your partner. The important thing about your list is that it needs to be written in positive statements. Our subconscious minds are not able to recognise negative statements and will focus on the thing you do not want. Read this – “do NOT think of a pink giggling elephant singing you a happy birthday song with a helium voice” and tell me that you did not.
This may be difficult for some people for a simple reason that we are often really good at knowing what we do not want. I will offer you a little trick here – start with things you do not want. For instance if your previous relationship suffered because of communication skills on behalf of your partner write it down – “I do not want a partner that can not express myself”. Collect a list of these traits and change them to a positive statement in this example – I want a partner that is a great communicator. Each of these statements also need to be changed to create positive affirmations not just a list of wants – “I love that my partner is good at communicating his feelings and thoughts.”
The statements are something that you need to believe otherwise your subconscious mind will reject them. In case you feel a resistance in your body there are two ways of dealing with this. Pre-phase your list with a statement -like “I am working on the ways that are getting my closer to the partner that :” Which will be an honest statement why would you be reading this article. The reminder of the list will be accepted by your subconscious and that will get the gears of the universe moving in the right way. This brings us to the point where I will share with you the most important part of this Law. People have analytical minds that sit on top of a very emotion driven part of our consciousness. How often you trusted your gut feel and decided to take action despite knowing that logically it did not make sense? The emotions play a huge role in our lives. If you have the most amazing strategy to achieve something but your heart is not in it – how far will you go?
The books and articles I read so far on the law of attraction failed to integrate the component of emotion and visualisation with the list of the desired outcome. The goal here is to create a strong visual image in your mind, with sounds, smells and feel for your desire. When I was practicing this on buying as an experiment I went to a few dealerships and took a car for a ride. I felt a joy of having this car as if I already had it. So if you decide to apply this to find a partner find a photo of a person that visually represents your dream. Stick it to the wall of your bedroom and living room so you see it everyday.
Before you go to sleep visualise of spending time with your future partner – whatever that visualisation may be for you. Think of how they sound, laugh or simply sitting next to you. Create that feeling of excitement and happiness of being with that person, find it in your body, feel the shape of it, amplify it and send it all over you. You may find through this practice that things will be appearing in your life but they are not exactly what you had in mind. My offer to you is – refine your list of traits and celebrate that the world is responding to you! Be amazed with the magic of it all and continue with your journey.
Now you have a complete system to practice this. I would love to hear about your experience.
